Description

Frankish battle axe with a rectangular shaft hole. Exceptionally good condition due to fire patina. Breakout at the shaft hole. Excellent iron substance. Length 16 cm. Comes with an Alemannic spearhead with flat blade and socket shaft. Good iron substance. Not preserved. On a stand. Length 25 cm.

Provenance: From the estate of a collector in Northrhine Westphalia.
