Description

Three wooden frames covered in leather, connected by leather hinges. The screen adorned with embossed tendrils of vine leaves and ribbons, the old inventory label on the back reads "S.K.H. Prinz Alfred Palais Edinburgh No. 33". Slightly damaged, signs of age. Dimensions circa 157 x 123 cm.
The style of the leather screen matches the neo-Renaissance Edinburgh House on the Coburger Schlossplatz, acquired by Prince Alfred, Queen Victoria's second son, in 1865 and used as his place of residence.
