Description

Merry-go-round animal carved in several pieces in the shape of a rearing horse and painted in colour. Wrought with meticulous detail, including inset glass eyes and mirrors incorporated in the saddlery, its tail made of plaited horsehair. The paintwork with craquelure and somewhat knocked, cracked here and there, traces of use. Comes with a presentation iron stand. Height 155 cm.
