Description
15 photographs—three of which clearly show the U-106 conning tower emblem—and three letters from Korvettenkapitän and Knight's Cross recipient Günter Kuhnke (Field Post Number M 47 499, 10th U-boat Flotilla Command), informing the family that Büg was killed in action in the Eastern Atlantic on August 25, 1943. Also included are his death certificate with envelope, a letter from a Kapitänleutnant (V), two newspaper clippings, a handwritten field post letter (July 30, 1943) with envelope (Field Post Number M06935 for U-523), a framed photograph of U-106, and three photographs of his father, Anton Büg. Kurt Anton Büg appears on the crew list for U-523 but not on that of U-106.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
