Description

The exterior of the skull has been overpainted at a later date and fitted with an eagle emblem. The interior retains the almost entirely preserved original Luftwaffe-blue paint finish; the maker's stamp “CKL” for Eisenhüttenwerke Thale AG on the inside, along with the size “68” and the barely legible batch number “2764”? Loose inner ring with stitched lightweight rubber blocks and leather liner, stamped “Kopfweite Gr. 56 - Stahlhelm-Gr. 68” and manufacturer's stamp “Baumuster: Heisler, Berlin C2 - Hersteller: F.W. Müller ...”.
