Description
Modern museum-quality reproduction of the field marshal's baton awarded to him on March 31, 1944. National eagles and Iron Crosses are applied alternately to the shaft, which is covered in red velvet. The gilded pommels feature tied oak leaf clusters, with an Iron Cross and a national eagle at the respective ends (traces of adhesive around the eagle). Circumferential dedication inscription: "Der Führer dem Generalfeldmarschall Model" [The Führer to General Field Marshal Model] and "Zum Freiheitskampf des Großdeutschen Volkes 31. März 1944" [For the freedom struggle of the Greater German people, March 31, 1944]. Length approx. 50 cm.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
