Description

Cap body in black tricot wool, black velvet cap band, white piping, silver-aluminium chin cords attached by two silver finished pebbled buttons. Silver finished 1927 early style metal Eagle and Danziger Totenkopf, lacquered black leather visor. Dark-grey imitation silk lining with silk tie at rear, moisture shield missing, manufacture mark “Elegant” printed on lining, grey leather sweatband. This cap was manufactured circa 1932–1933 before RZM requirements and has no tags. Published with provenance to Andrew Mollo. Size approximately 54 1/2.
