Description
Privately purchased item in field-grey gabardine with light-grey piping, dark green collar with collar patches for an SS Obergruppenführer, hand-embroidered in metal thread. Shoulder boards for SS generals, intertwined heavy silver/gold bullion cords on light-grey cloth underlay, sewn-on type. A hand-embroidered sleeve eagle for officers in metal thread, leader's cuff title “Der Führer”, woven in metal thread (“flat wire”). Three loops for badges on the left breast pocket, above which, six loops for a large medal bar, silver-plated buttons, all present, green silk lining, tailor's label “Averbeck & Bröskamp Berlin W.” The owner's label inside has been removed, a vent for carrying the dagger. Shoulder width 45 cm, sleeve length 61 cm, total length 72 cm. Slight signs of wear. Extremely rare find.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
