Description

Three-part manufactured with iron core, original blackening, on screw-back, manufacturer's mark “L/18” (B.H. Mayer), mounted 1939 Clasp to the Iron Cross 1st Class, 2nd pattern, silver-plated non-ferrous metal, a small hook on the back for attaching it to the uniform, slightly worn in good condition. The so-called “combination” is extremely rare. Similar pieces by B.H. Mayer are illustrated in the reference Book “The Iron Cross 1. Class” by Dietrich Maerz/George Stimson on pages 525 and 530.

The auction starts on Wednesday, November 25, 2026 at 4 pm (CET), start subject to the timing of the preceding auction, with Lot no. 8001 - 8488 and continues on Thursday, November 26, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 8489 - 9186.
