Description
The white, glazed porcelain figurine after a design by Professor Theodor Kärner with the model number 42. The base stamped with the rune mark, model number and the artist's signature, as well as an affixed, heavily damaged business card “Heinrich Himmler - Reichsführer SS” with a typewritten note on the reverse “Mit meinen herzlichsten Geburtstagswünschen. - Heil Hitler - 1943” and, now only faintly legible in ink, “Ihr H. Himmler”. The second, considerably rarer model differs visibly from the first model by its chained dagger in place of the simple dagger with vertical hanger and the round flag finial with a swastika. The finial is unfortunately missing. Otherwise an undamaged, extremely rare figurine. Height approx. 48 cm.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
