Description
Kneeling female nude with hands crossed in front of her forehead, signed and dated “Arno Breker 1980” at the base, foundry stamp “venturi arte” and number “13/999”. On marble base (corners of the base with minor chips). Overall height ca. 37 cm. Good condition. Impressive, elegant bronze figure. Arno Breker is considered one of the most important 20th century sculptors in the classical tradition. In the tradition of great European sculptors with its French influence, he ranks alongside Auguste Rodin, Charles Despiau and Aristide Maillol.Condition: I - II Questions about the lot?
