Description
Large, heavy silver chain of office comprising 18 links; the links alternate between openwork designs featuring guild motifs and floral ornamentation, and seven links inlaid with greenish marble. The clasp link bears a swastika and supports a large pendant featuring the city's coat of arms in high relief. Engraved on the reverse (tr.) “Gift from the citizenry of Neurode in commemoration of the 600th anniversary in 1937”. Inscribed on the edge (tr.) “Design and execution by Konrad Scheu, Wrocław, 1937”. Stamped with the mark of fineness “900”, crescent and crown, and a master's mark.
