Description
Cover page and three-page closing statement, format 32.7 x 20.5 cm, dated "30. August 1946". Affixed at upper left with adhesive paper strips. Streicher rejects any guilt or complicity in a crime and identifies Hitler and Himmler as the sole culprits. In a card cover (slightly stained on the outside) with the inscription "Schriftwechsel" in blue copying pencil on the front, above it Streicher's autograph pencil signature; inscribed on the inside "Julius Streicher in Nuremberg - by son Lothar Streicher"; on the inside back cover, presumably Streicher's postal address in Nuremberg, "International Security Detachment...", in pencil in a childlike hand. His denial availed him nothing: Streicher was sentenced to death by hanging on 1. October 1946 and executed in Nuremberg on 16. October.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
