Description

Robust, double-etched wedge-section blade; the owner's monogram “E. v. R.” appears on the ricasso on the tierce side, and the etched maker's logo on the quarte side. Brass crossguard with hoof-shaped terminals and a shell-shaped guard plate; brass pommel cap with acorn-shaped nut; staghorn grip with three applied decorative acorns on the front. Traces of gilding remain. Green sword knot. Black leather scabbard (possibly a replacement?) with brass fittings and a replica frog. Length approx. 49 cm.
