Description
Black lacquered shell of stiff substitute material (crazed, a 10 cm horizontal crack at the back of the skull) with gilt brass and iron mountings. Screw-mounted Eagle emblem of gilt brass, plate with four star-head screws, beaded border; spike with bayonet fitting. Flat, leather-backed iron chin-scales on concealed buttons 91, lacquered iron cockades. Reddish-brown silk rep lining, black leather sweatband, old size indication “56 1/2” on the rear visor, red and green lined visors, respectively. Partially damaged, signs of age. Rare helmet with “Kriegsmetall”.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
