Description

Brown leather binding, gilt edges, brass clasp missing. Approx. 70 photographs on card (Carte de Visite / cabinet formats) from the collection of a noble family. Including numerous portraits in uniform, shots of Generals, aristocratic societies and exterior views of the Royal Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschwangau, signs of use. Fine lady's fan of finely pierced nacre (one repaired section) with lavish lace detailing. Royal Bavarian court supplier edition by Carl Weishaupt in Munich. Housed in the manufacturer's original box (damaged). Accompanied by a wreath ribbon marking the 90th birthday of King Ludwig II, as well as two additional wreath ribbons donated by Crown Prince Rupprecht of Bavaria for the same occasion.

The auction starts on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 6001 - 7079 and continues on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 7080 - 7502. The pre-sale view will take place from November 9 - November 13, 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CET).
