Description

Sturdy, straight back-edged blade (somewhat stained), featuring gilded decorative etching (scrollwork, trophies) on a blued background in the upper third (showing wear). Nicely gilded brass hilt with a knuckle-bow and heart-shaped guard plate; grip wrapped in fine silver-plated copper wire. Black leather scabbard (shrunken, showing wear) with brass fittings (minor dents); locket fitted with a carrying stud. Minor localized damage; signs of use and age. Length approx. 101 cm.
