Description

Bavarian tunic in fine, cornflower blue stripe cloth with a red stand-up collar. Double-breasted front with silver-plated buttons. Complete with the original matching Bavarian general's shoulder boards. An attached braided aiguillette with silver-plated pins on the right shoulder. Minor signs of age, minimal moth damage. Comes with the matching trousers in the same cloth with broad red stripes on the side seams. The trousers with an embroidered maker's label in gold thread: “Chr. Schwarz & Söhne, Königl. bayer. Hoflieferanten, München & Bayreuth”, surmounted by the Bavarian royal coat of arms. A very fine, matching ensemble in good condition.

The auction starts on Tuesday, November 24, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 6001 - 7079 and continues on Wednesday, November 25 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 7080 - 7502. The pre-sale view will take place from November 9 - November 13, 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CET).
