Description
Cal. 8x57JS, SN. 9418, numbers not matching. Barrel length 74 cm, bright bore. The chamber area marked “DWM / Berlin / 1916”. Various imperial acceptance marks. German proof marks 1972. Barrel with acceptance mark Eagle/“4”. Reichswehr rear sights graduated 1 - 20. All metal parts blued, need cleaning. The walnut stock with takedown disc and cleaning rod. The right side of the butt marked “MP / 8” in a grenade. SG 84/98 bayonet with Bakelite grips, made by Clement & Jung 1938, the scabbard made by Jos. Coris/1940. The condition can be significantly improved by careful cleaning.
