Description
Cal. 8x57JS, SN. 4353, numbers not matching. Barrel length 74 cm, matte bore. German proof marks 1972. Receiver marked “Crescent”, “Z”, “S” / Crown / “Amberg / 1898”. The left side of the receiver wall marked “Gew.88 / n.m.”. Turkish bolt and sights. Unit markings on the upper band “77.R.8. 43.”. Barrel jacket and magazine housing refinished. Dark walnut stock in good condition, with sling swivels, magazine dustcover and cleaning rod. On the butt plate the mark “11 K” (= repair mark of a weapons collection point).
