Description

Laterally flattened barrel turning to round with a flared muzzle. Smooth bore in 16 mm calibre. Above the chamber double-inlaid in brass and marked “MD”, with English proof marks struck. Lock plate slightly engraved. Lock side plate finely pierced. Fine flintlock. Walnut full stock with horn nose and relief-decorated furniture. Mascaron as butt cap, vacant thumb plate in silver. Shaft with several repairs to the butt. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 37.5 cm.
