Description
Octagonal to round barrel after cut baluster, with silver- and brass-inlaid strapwork and scrolling foliage above the chamber and at the muzzle, notch rear sight and gilt front sight on foliate base, smooth bore in 15 mm calibre. Lock with carved scrolling foliage, the steel engraved, gilt relief bronze furniture, the pommel with mascaron, the pommel cap with Diana and her hounds, carved walnut stock with minor restoration at the pommel, a hairline crack in the fore-end and a tiny chip to the pommel cap tang. Ramrod with horn tip. Length 52 cm. A very fine, long flintlock pistol.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
