Description

First hunting hanger with a slightly fullered, curved blade. Remains of etched decor at the base. Blade with staining. Finely relief-decorated crossguard and guard plate with a punched ground, traces of the original gilding. Hilt covered with shagreen. Pommel plate likewise with traces of the original gilding. Second hunting hanger with a straight blade, double-fullered on both sides, with etched decor and maker's mark on both sides at the base. Blade partially pitted. Collar, short crossguard and rain guard of brass. Lightly carved wooden hilt. Length 76 and 64 cm.
