Description
Slightly curved single-edged blade with a double-edged head and shallow fullers on both sides. Blade pitted, remains of decorative etching at the base. Openworked guard plate, the rain guard inscribed with magazine number “No. 488, 1757”, one arm of the crossguard missing. Hilt of ebonized wood, the silver pommel cap monogrammed. Leather-covered wooden scabbard with silver mounts. Chape missing, the belt hook of the locket stippled twice. Inserted side knife and two-tined fork with dark horn handles, the knife blade only fragmentarily preserved. Length 59 cm.Condition: III - Questions about the lot?
