Description

Slender, rhombic thrusting blade with flattened central ridge. Slightly rubbed etched decoration on both sides at the base. Finely patinated gilt silver hilt with oval, flat guard plate. Faceted grip and pommel of gilt silver. Leather scabbard covered in white checkering with gilt silver mounts. Locket with Augsburg assay mark (1779–1781) and maker's mark “PH” below crown. Length 95 cm.
