Description

Robust, double-edged blade with flattened central ridge. The upper third with a shallow fuller on both sides bearing cross marks, surrounded by struck decorative lines. The ricasso with a struck mark on both sides. Basket hilt (one short clasp missing) with wide-spreading crossguard, the arm terminals on the obverse with notched floral decor. Grip with original, loose leather wrap. Heavy, bi-conical pommel, the top face with six flutes. Length 116 cm.
