Description
One-piece hammered skull with a strongly roped comb and small back-turned head. All but one of the surrounding lining rivets lost. Narrow, slightly downward-slanting brim with a turned border and surrounding brass-plated lining rivets. The entire surface decorated with finely etched banded ornament featuring warrior heads and trophies between strapwork. On the front of the brim an indistinctly struck brand; at the neck, just more than the brim, an old bullet hole(?). Height 23 cm.Condition: II - Questions about the lot?
