Description

Lavishly in silver labour and fully gilt figure of the wind god Bataru Bayu. The fine cut head, the garments and the lavish throne with splendid set of White sapphires and ruby cabochons. On a broad Selut with opulent gemstone cabochons (one socket cracked). The gemstones slightly chipped in places. Height 14 cm. According to the consignor, this is the labour of a goldsmith from Tejakula.

The auction starts on Thursday, November 17, 2026 at 2:30 pm (CET), start subject to the timing of the preceding auction, with Lot no. 2001 - 2505 and continues on Wednesday 18, 2026 at 10 am (CET) with Lot no. 2506 - 1369.The pre-sale view will take place from November 9 - November 13, 2026 in our auction rooms at Bretonischer Ring 3 in 85630 Grasbrunn / Munich from 11 am to 5 pm (CET).
