Description

Ink on textile support, probably silk. Upper left with Chinese calligraphy bearing the inscription Gao Jian ti (“inscribed by Gao Jian”) and a red seal; further calligraphic inscription with red seal upper right. Large red seal at the lower right edge. Mountain landscape enveloped in dense mist, with layered peaks, trees and pavilion architecture. Framed under glass with a mat. Textile support with irregular discolouration, staining and vertical creases or deformations; ink locally rubbed. Visible dimensions 22.8 × 27.4 cm, frame dimensions 47 × 52 × 2.5 cm.
