Description

Spherical otter-fur cap made of genuine otter pelt. Diamond-shaped green velvet inlay at the crown with a cross motif of gilt Lyonnaise wire. Two textile loops on the sides for a chin strap. In original cardboard box. Height circa 22 cm. Height of the box 26 cm. Comparable Trechtenhüte can be found, among others, in the collection of the Tyrolean Landesmuseum in Innsbruck and the ethnographic collection of the Bavarian National Museum in Munich.
