Description
Tombac skull (minor indentations), smooth, round front visor, nickel-silver trim, the manufacturer's stamp „C. E. Juncker 1914” in the crown of the skull. The delicately raised, embossed eagle emblem in nickel-silver with a Vaterland banner fixed by leather wedges at the front. Convex tombac chinscales with leather underlay attached to M 91 side post lugs, both large cockades for enlisted men in lacquered sheet metal. Nickel-silver base at the crown with four ball-head screws, smooth inset tombac point. The ochre-coloured liner with leather flaps a later replacement, the interior of the front visor lacquered in green, the rear visor in black (heavily worn). Slightly damaged in places, signs of age.
