Description

Solid bronze with a patina (rubbed), the name of the subject on the front of the plinth, the foundry stamp „H. Pelargus Stuttgart" (Hugo Pelargus, Königlich Württembergischer Hoferzgießer, 1861 - 1931) on the back. Fully sculptured, standing, full-length figure in uniform with boots, spurs and tunic, in full regalia (including the Collar of the House Order of Hohenzollern), the lower part of the sabre has been lost. Signs of age and wear. Height 34 cm. Karl Anton von Hohenzollern was the last reigning Prince of Hohenzollern-Sigmaringen from 27 August 1848 until it was incorporated into the Kingdom of Prussia on 7 December 1849. From 5 November 1858, he served as Prussian Minister-President and, additionally, as General der Infanterie from 31 May 1859.
