Description

Sturdy, slightly curved, single-edged blade (somewhat stained), the upper half lavishly etched, blued and gilt on both sides, including the Münchner Kindl mark and the inscription "Schützen Corps der Churfürstlichen Haupt- und Residenzstadt München". Beautifully gilt brass knuckle-bow hilt subtly embellished with relief decoration, round grip strap. The black leather-covered grip without wire winding. Black leather scabbard with en suite decorated, gilt fittings (small dents), embellished frog stud on the obverse of the locket. Signs of age and handling. Length 91 cm. Exceptionally good, original blade surface, the gilding in fine condition.
