Bewegliche, beidseitig grün emaillierte, kranzförmige Agraffe (kleine Chips), darüber im Scharnier fünf gefasste Diamanten (getestet). An Bandabschnitt (kleine Nadellöcher). Im nicht zugehörigen schwarzen Verleihungsetui. Trage- und Altersspuren. Breite 40 mm. Gestiftet durch Papst Gregor XVI. im Jahr 1831 zur Erinnerung an Papst Gregor des Großen.
