Description
Round, blued barrel with a distinct midrib. Smooth bore in 15 mm calibre. Surface-mounted, silver front sight. The silver-inlaid Latin motto "Quo Fata Ducunt" ("Whither the Fates lead") on the barrel rib. A three-dimensional Turkish horseman appliquéd in silver at the breech, surrounded by scrolling bands. Engraved tang. The flintlock with chiselled rocailles and signature "C. Rasch Braunschweig". The full stock in gracefully carved walnut with a dark horn nose. The fire-gilt brass furniture richly decorated in relief with trophy decoration between rocaille ornaments. Wooden ramrod with horn tip. Length 43 cm.Condition: II + Questions about the lot?
