Description

Sturdy, single-edged blade with a long, double-edged point. Shallow fullers on both sides below the spine. Ornamental saw tooth marks struck on both sides of the upper third. Flat, slightly S-shaped, curved quillons with finger rests and thumb ring. Basket hilt with a large, closed buckler on the obverse. Original grip flattened at the side with remnants of the original leather cover. Massive, square pommel with a distinct, riveted button. The riveting open, the pommel slightly loose. Length 109.5 cm.
