A Central European medieval sword, 12th century

Description

The sturdy, double-edged blade with long fullers on both sides, a small corrosion perforation on the lower third. A straight-arm cross inlaid in brass in a circular frame on one side of the upper third of the blade. Straight, extended quillons of square cross-section. Slightly tapered tang, the flat pommel in the shape of a Brazil nut. Length 105.5 cm.
