Description

Shinogi zukuri blade. Itame hada, suguha hamon. One bo-hi on the right of the root, two narrow bo-hi on the left. Silver-plated habaki. Nakago with two mekugi-ana, subsequently inscribed "Fujiwara Masajuki". Tsuba made of shakudō with finely chased decorative tendrils. Lacquered tsuka with silver habaki in the shape of mons. Fuchi/kashira made of shakudō with chased decorative tendrils and gilt mons. Matching kotsuka with wooden placeholder blade. Lacquered saya with gold-lacquered mon on one side, a small plaque with a signature on the opposite side. Mounts in shakudō with gilt mons. Blade length K/M 35.4 cm, overall length 56 cm.
