Description
Cal. 16(BlackPowder), Cal. 16(BlackPowder), SN. M1245, matching numbers. The left barrel rifled, the right barrel smooth, length 75 cm, made of Damascus steel. Rear sight with three leaves for 100, 200 and 250 yards integrated into the barrel rib. Contemporary British proof mark. The top of the barrel rib marked "J.F.R. Greatrex. Walsall". The case-hardened locks marked "Chas Osborne". Double trigger. Finely grained and chequered walnut stock, minimally bumped. Small chipping on the left edge of the fore-arm, followed by a crack which can be improved by careful cleaning. Ramrod missing. Length of butt stock 37 cm. Overall length 118 cm. In wood case with black leather cover. Leather heavily damaged, the sides of the lid missing, one stored in the case, the centre soft, the baize also damaged due to old age. The case-straps torn, the lock broken.
