Description

Doppelseitiges Petschaft aus Messing mit kräftigem, eingezogenem Schaft. Beide Siegelflächen mit jeweils einem bzw. drei Hauszeichen. Bestoßen. Dazu drei kleinere Matrizen, davon eine aus Eisen mit dunkler Alterspatina. Ein Exemplar ist ein Petschaft der vereinigten Metzger- und Bäckerzunft, auf dem Brotlaib "M W" bezeichnet. Höhe 11 cm, Durchmesser 23 x 38 mm bzw. 20, 22 und 26 mm.

Provenance: Britische Matrixsammlung David Morris.
