Description

Octagonal-to-round barrel, four lands and grooves, the bore a bit frosted, Cal. 15.2 mm. Dreyse bolt-action, numbered "13642". The right hand side of the chamber area marked "F. v. Dreyse Sömmerda", the breech end of the barrel with acceptance mark "W" and serial number "13517". Metal parts polished, no finish left, some minor pitting. The walnut stock with a few minor worm holes and signs of wear, both sling swivels and the ramrod. Length 109 cm. Extremely rare needle-fire rifle, this pattern in service with the Baden State customs and border authority.
