Cal. .45Colt, SN. 10221, barrel length 5½" (most likely shortened), dull bore. Six shots. Made in 1874. Marked "US", so originally furnished with a 7½"-barrel for the U.S. Army. On top of the barrel single-line company markings, on the frame patent data. Smooth walnut grips. Some signs of age and wear.
