Zylinder-Verschluss mit dritter Verschlusswarze alter Form. Lauf und Korn von A3. Lauf markiert "6-43 R.A." = Remington Arsenal. Skala-Visier M 1905. Metallteile z.T. brüniert bzw. phosphatiert. Nussholzschaft in der SCANT-Form, linksseitig mit Abnahmestempeln "AAX" und "AAP". Die Gewehre aus der Serie Springfield M 1903 (1. Weltkrieg), ab Mitte 1918 bis 1920 als Spezialmodell hergestellt mit insges. 101.775 Exemplaren, ab 1942 einige Modifizierungen zum M 1903 Mark 1. Gesamtlänge 111 cm.
