Preliminary document to the Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross, awarded on 17 September 1944, issued on 23 September 1944, signed by Generalleutnant Wilhelm Burgdorf. Award document for the Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, issued on 22 November 1944 by Oberkommando des Heeres, signed by a Generalleutnant. Also includes the letter from the OKH to the 21st Infantry Division regarding the award, dated 22 November 1944. Letter of congratulations on being awarded the Knight's Cross from Generaloberst Schoerner, dated 20 September 1944. Congratulatory telegram on receiving the Knight's Cross from General der Infanterie Gollnick, dated 20 September 1944. Both documents are torn and have been glued on the back. Infantry Assault Badge in Silver, zinc, the silver plating well preserved. No manufacturer yet typical production of Hermann Wernstein, Jena. Traces of age and handling.
