Description

Bronze mit leichter Edelpatina, darstellend einen jungen, nach links oben blickenden Krieger mit grünlich patinierten Stahlhelm M 16. Rückseitig links sign. "Schmidt-Hofer". Auf zweiteiligem, abgestuftem schwarzen Marmorsockel, darauf die Sitzspuren einer Plakette. Gesamthöhe 26 cm. Otto Schmidt-Hofer (1873-1925), studierte in der Königlichen Akademie der Künste und der Unterrichtsanstalt des Kunstgewerbemuseums Berlin, Mitglied im Reichswirtschaftsverband bildender Künstler. Bekannt für seine Figuren im Stil des Neoklassizismus, des Jugendstils und später auch im Art Déco Stil.
