Description

Light walnut wood, back divided into three sections, side armrests, upholstered seat on woven leather. Multiple, partially faded logo stamps featuring a mermaid and the inscription "Rasthaus am Chiemsee" (Rest House on Lake Chiemsee). Signs of wear. Height 84.5 cm, width 67.5 cm, depth 73 cm. The Munich-based manufacturer Pössenbacher (Jahnstr. 45) furnished numerous buildings for Hitler. Very similar armchairs, also with woven leather, were located in the New Reich Chancellery in Berlin.
