Depot piece. Fine, greyish-green cloth (occasional minor moth damage) with dark green piping, dark green stand-up collar and cuffs with a green-red-green tunic border. Two Gefreiter's buttons in nickel-plated iron on the collar. Dark green shoulder boards with red piping and red-embroidered regiment number „2" on squadron buttons „5". Lined in fine, unbleached linen (somewhat spotted with mould), the wearer's label reading „Einjährig-Freiwilliger Schmidt 5. Eskadron Jäger-Rgt. zu Pferde Nr. 2". Moreover, the ink stamp „B.A. XI.", "J.z.Pf. 2 5. E. / 05 05" and collection stamp (Kassel). Slightly damaged in places, signs of age and wear.
