Black lacquered leather skull (a few minor indentations) with fittings in white and yellow metal. Screw-mounted guard eagle (no double perforation, double outlines on the skull) in silver-plated nickel-silver with appliquéd, partially enamelled guard star for officers. Convex, gilt brass chinscales on leather underlay on geometric rosettes, on the right the officer's cockade in lacquered sheet iron. A field insignia in black velvet with silver fringes for enlisted men inset at the top, behind which the parade plume of black and white buffalo hair inserted in a metal socket. White parade rabatte (lightly stained), the lanyard made of round silver cord interwoven in black with two tassels. Ochre-coloured silk rep lining (minor tears), ochre-coloured leather sweatband (small holes and stains), an incomplete leather ring at the crown with the size „56” (?). Slightly damaged in places, signs of age and wear. A rare find in beautiful condition.Condition: II Questions about the lot?
