Description

Achtkantige Matrix aus Amethyst mit fein geschnittenem, fünffach behelmten Wappen. Am unteren Rand Chiffre „AHZBVL" (= August Herzog zu Braunschweig und Lüneburg). Silberne Fassung mit Blattdekor auf fein ziselliertem Grund. Durchbrochen gearbeitete Handhabe. Größe der Matrix ca. 12 x 10 mm, Gesamtgröße 2,5 cm. August I. (1568-1636), war von 1633 bis 36 Herzog des Fürstentums von Braunschweig und Lüneburg.
