Description

Elegantly curved blade of triangular section with yelman, long false edge and double-edged central point (stained, two notches on the cutting edge). The inscription "KINGS HUSSARS" etched on both sides below the British royal crown. Gilt non-ferrous metal hilt with lavish relief décor and carved ivory handle (cracks, minor imperfections). The brass scabbard embellished with blossoms and foliage, grey chequered inlays over the entire length, two ornate ring bands with movable suspension rings. Slightly damaged here and there, signs of age and use. Length of the sabre 92 cm (with scabbard 93.5 cm). Rare, distinguished edged weapon. CITES document available.
